cube data

after i process a cube, where does the cube(aggregrated) data reside?

There is a property of the Analysis Server called DataDir which points to something like C:\Program Files\Microsof SQL Server\MSSQL.<x>\OLAP\Data, but the exact path depends on how it was installed, if you right click on your server from SSMS, you can open up the properties window to confirm the exact location.

But It depends what type of cube we are talking about...

If it is a MOLAP cube, it is all stored in DataDir.|||

how do i confirm the type of cube i have?

can the type be changed after the cube is built?

Open up the cube and go into the Partitions tab, click on the "Storage Settings" link. If you have not explicitly set the storage mode it will default to MOLAP.

You can't change the storage settings without reprocessing the cube.
